Launch Graduate Network Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality

The professional doctorate (PD) is the new proprietary PhD program of the Dutch Universities of Applied Sciences that focuses on innovations in professional practice. No fewer than seven colleges, spread throughout the Netherlands, offer a PD for the hospitality domain. Where professional practice has to deal with complex issues, these PhD students can pick up knowledge and design questions with their practice-oriented know-how and thus contribute to sustainable innovation. 

The PD is open to both researchers at universities of applied sciences and professionals from professional practice. Unique to the PD is the 'design, test and evaluate' approach in short cycles, allowing innovations to be quickly put into practice. In this way, knowledge is built on knowledge and partners in the PD network are the first to benefit from the innovations. 

This meeting will introduce you to the PD in the leisure, tourism & hospitality domain. You will also have ample opportunity to contribute urgent issues from professional practice. We will inspire this discussion with presentations from candidates who have already started. The meeting will conclude with practical tools to link up with the professional doctorate in leisure, tourism & hospitality as an industry and/or employer.
