Sustainable development is increasingly recognised as highly important in the context of tourism. Major steps are being taken and a great deal is being invested in developing tourism in a sustainable way. At the same time, there is still a lot to do, both in the Netherlands and abroad. For example, overtourism is increasingly a global issue and climate change knows no boundaries. Involving the younger generations in the development of the tourism sector is essential. This most certainly includes students, who will be the future leaders in the tourism sector.
