The Glasgow Declaration calls on signatories to plan for, and progress towards, a world where emissions are halved by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. But how can we plan for the future if we don’t know what a thriving, decarbonised tourism industry looks like?
This webinar will explore some of the early findings from our soon-to-be published research and industry report, “Envisioning Tourism in 2030”, in collaboration with the European Tourism Futures Institute, Breda University of Applied Sciences and the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions.
We model a range of future scenarios to identify those that meet the Glasgow Declaration targets and consider the opportunities and challenges ahead for policy makers, destinations, accommodations, and tour operators.
