Development of Inner Development Goals for Corendon Hotels & Resorts

Corendon Hotels & Resorts and CELTH are conducting a pilot study focused on leadership development within the framework of the Inner Development Goals (IDGs).

The IDG is an international, non-profit, open-source framework for personal development. It was developed by an international coalition of researchers and organizations and complements the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The IDG framework is built around five dimensions: Being, Thinking, Connecting, Collaborating, and Acting. These dimensions encompass skills such as self-awareness, empathy, critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience. These skills are particularly important for the hotel sector, as internally strong employees are essential in an increasingly fast-changing world.

Goal

To stimulate the personal development of employees and strengthen leadership skills within Corendon Hotels & Resorts. For CELTH, it is important that this pilot leads to a system that other hotels and hotel chains can also use for leadership development.

Approach

Four Dutch hotel schools are participating in this unique collaborative project for Corendon. The four hotel schools are examining the issue from different perspectives:

  • Individual perspective

The results will be compiled in a white paper by CELTH.
