Hospitality sector launches ontdekhospitality.nl and digital campaign

In this way, the sector aims to promote inflow into hospitality education and the sector across the board. The 'Discover Hospitality' digital campaign is a broadening of the 'Be My Guest' campaign introduced in 2023.

The Hospitality Pact was drawn up under the direction of the Taskforce Cooperation Hospitality Economy and aims to create cooperation between the parties involved regarding sustainable solutions for the labour market of today and tomorrow. Cooperation and innovation are necessary for a successful future of the sector.

The hospitality sector is important for the Dutch economy and society, because in addition to generating income and employment, it promotes quality of life and well-being by contributing to social connection and cohesion. The platform and the 'Discover Hospitality' campaign should contribute to presenting the sector as an attractive field of work.

Erwin van de Graaf, Chairman Hospitality Pact; ‘In June 2023, the Hospitality Pact was launched as a unique collaboration between industry organisations, vocational education, educational and knowledge institutes, and employee representatives to jointly tackle labour market challenges in the Dutch hospitality sector. The Hospitality Pact is one of the activities stemming from the national Taskforce Cooperation Hospitality Economy. An important pillar within the Pact is labour market branding. From the Pact, we therefore wholeheartedly support www.ontdekhospitality.nl as one of the initiatives to connect employers, schools, jobseekers, and students within the hospitality sector and tell them more about a study or career opportunity in the hospitality sector.’

A sector full of opportunities

The sector offers numerous people the opportunity to develop. There are promising and challenging careers for every hospitality talent. With challenging content from the field, we show that working in the sector is a real profession and that you can enjoy a lifetime of further learning and development. The Hospitality Pact was drawn up under the direction of the Taskforce Cooperation Hospitality Economy and is supported by the employers' organisations Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, ANVR, HISWARECRON, CLC-VECTA, Veneca, the MBO Raad and HBO, employees' organisations FNV Horecabond, a collective of nationally operating companies and supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
