Value of online sentiment data for tourism issues

Tourists often share their experiences via social media with friends, family and acquaintances. Various parties collect and analyse this data and offer it to destinations. However, what can destinations do with this data?

Our data science experts from HZ University of Applied Sciences and Knowledge Center for Coastal Tourism have conducted a number of in-depth analyses based on online sentiment data. An overview has also been formed of the methodological possibilities and limitations.

Discover what online sentiment data can best be used for and how online sentiment, in combination with other data, can provide an interpretation of the actual developments in tourism issues.

The project is part of the Data & Development Lab in which CELTH cooperates with NBTC and CBS.
