Accessible tourism in the Netherlands: toward an ‘inclusive’ travel industry

Our research is focusing on the customer journey of people with disabilities and their families/caretakers. This group has been traditionally marginalised in the tourism and travel sector. This project specifically looks at the demand and supply in the Netherlands. This way, we ensure maximum immediate benefit and applicability for the Dutch tourism and travel industry.

Get an insight into the problems that travellers with disabilities encounter when they are on vacation and how the travel industry could make travel more accessible.

This project is conducted in cooperation with Wageningen University & ResearchBreda University of Applied Sciences, European Tourism Futures Institute, ANVR, Reiswerk, NBVA and CELTH.
