Kick-off INTERIM
Recreational travel accounted for approximately 40% of the kilometers traveled throughout the Netherlands in 2023. Nevertheless, the emphasis in policy-making and mobility management is mainly on commuting. Closer cooperation between mobility departments and recreational organizations could be of great value in creating a more sustainable mobility profile for all types of travel. To this end, the research project Integration of Recreation and Tourism in Mobility Policy (INTERIM) has been set up.
This project will be launched on March 10, 2026, with a public kick-off from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Breda University of Applied Science in Breda. During this public kick-off, we would like to compare opinions and experiences on the challenges of integrating recreational mobility into general mobility planning at both the governance and data levels in a discussion session and a focus group interview. We invite you to participate in this kick-off & focus group.
