The theme for 2026 is “Space for Recreation & Tourism” – both literally and figuratively. We explore space in all its forms: the physical space of landscapes, cities and regions, but also the space to do business, to innovate, to shape policy and to collaborate. Space for flexibility, for resilience, for change.
What does space mean in a time of busyness, digitalisation and decentralisation? How can we give tourism a place in regional development, spatial planning and societal challenges? And how do we create space for new ideas, for sustainable mobility, for social cohesion?
The conference offers space – to think, to share, to connect. And to build together towards a future in which tourism not only takes up space, but also adds meaning.
